![]() I fitted one to my B2 cq with the 2526cc modified engine from GTi Engineering back in 1990, it wasn't listed in their advertising material but was a recommended performance improver for these and modified Mk2 Golfs for improved airflow - I was told about it when I rang for prices on a set of pistons - £91 each back then and seems a bargain now. Luckily the blue smoke was valve stem seals and guides which was much cheaper to rectify. It made a noticeable difference to the urge at higher engine speeds, I took it off when it was sold and still have it - I'll take some pics if there's interest.

![]() Apols for the delay, had to dig it out and take pics . . . . you can see it draws air from immediately behind the OS headlamp and doesn't have any heated air supply to it like on NA cars usually - to prevent winter icing. Think it's more of an issue with carburettor motors though.
