Mustang GT gets Overhauled & Juiced!!!
OK, so it's not an Audi, but I thought I'd share it anyway!
Wasn't looking forward to this one to say the least!! Black Mustang GT. Swirls and then some, plus some other random scratches here and there, but other than that, an absoulte beast! Obviously, when Henry Ford said you can have any colour as long as it's black, never had any intention at all of detaling!! Met the guy at 06:45 Monday morning at my unit, got it inside and met with this: and some more: what a start to the week this was gonna be! It was pretty clean already but took it out side for a good was with Chemical Guys orangey pink stuff! Then on with the polishing. Started of with Menz 106FF on a Menz pad and found that that combo worked well right from the start so stuck with it. The bonnet bacame a labour of love for the next gazillion hours as I wanted it to have a mirror finish and eventually, we got there! after the bonnet, it was the wings, then the doors, then the rear quarters, then the boot lood and spoiler and then Maccy D's supper as it was now after 8pm!! OK, so running a transport co. at the same time means I'm back and forth the office a lot to sort things out but that car probably got about 12 hours off me yesterday! Back in early again this morning as I needed to polish the lower sills, the door jambs and the wheels! Then out with the Purple Haze! and then the money shots! 2005 meets 1965! |

That's a superb job is that...
Those swurls looked evil in the first pic's and if Fords paint is anything like it was a few years ago, it's quite soft. Aah, bless, we're doggie people here, without a dog (we lost him last year)... What a lovely dog.

I do like those new Mustangs, must admit new cars generally don't do much for me but I think Ford have done a good job with them.
I'm currently working in Dubai where petrol isn't even £1 a gallon and the roads don't have many twisty bits so would make a lot more sense having a 5.0 litre car!. Good job Coxy!! ps probably still prefer the 65 in the background |
