So I earthed that wire and all appears ok it even appears to run slightly better.
The proof I suppose will be later when I try to start it as after make a few adjustments last time it did not want to 'catch' until I wound the tick over screw out more. Will report back once I've tried starting her from cold again. Thanks to everyone for there input so far really appreciated. Have a great day the suns out already. |

VAL its weird I know, Hamman explained it earlier.
To me a live was always a live but it runs fine and nothing blowing? If you've a picture of that area from your motor with that wire going somewhere, now that would be helpful |

Can't help right now or get access to garage.
I was thinking that could be "afterrun temperature sender" wire that turns on radiator fan after ignition is turned off if enginebay is hot. But that should be switched earth. Is it green/brown or brown/green? Maybe I could find wiring diagram in late evening. |

You could put voltmeter on that wire while pulling out and back in all fuses. If voltmeter drops, you've found atleast what that wire is connected.
Found only diagrams not specific to KU engine. In Russian, and colours not written but using kind of actual colours, but not knowing that is main colour and which one is trace. If you wanna try them yourselft and read "gibberish", here you go: https://files.inbox.lv/ticket/d80cd5...1982+-+1990.7z Wirings are under 12.3.1 to 12.3.32 (in the left sidebar). Attached image is just as example how it will look. Last edited by Val; 16-04-17 at 09:56 PM. |

Page 4 from Temperature sender in square B4 with wires to ignition and fuel ecu's. Also check fuel pump relay pin 49 in page 6. That could also be just coincidence with those colours. You will need continuity tester to check where your actual wire goes. |
