Cambelt deflection value

Morning

I've got one of these

And having just done the cambelt on the Kv 2.2 I'm going to re-tension it now that it's been fired up a number if times.

The standard 'turn it 90 degrees midway' test is very subjective, is there a proper deflection value recorded anywhere than anybody is aware of?

Damned if I can find it.

Sorry Duffy, but I have always turned the belt through 90Deg with my thumb and forefinger at the mid point between the cam pulley and water pump, if you get the belt too tight it whines when the engine is running.

Usually 90 degree rotation by thumb and forefinger is too tight - I always move the water pump slightly so that it rotates about 120 degrees with firm pressure.
