Default John Noakes

Just heard on the news that everybody's favourite Blue Peter action man John Noakes has sadly passed away in Majorca. He had been suffering from Alzheimers for several years

Blue Peter, John Noakes, after school TV viewing, they could do anything with sticky tape,
Lulu the elephant is still funny today. RIP.

Yes indeed RIP
Still laugh out loud at him climbing Nelson's Column ( second clip )
Not a safety harness or day glow jacket in sight. It just never occurred to the production crew that he might fall. I'd say he probably never had an accident.

Really sad to hear of his passing.

He was an amazing character, there was seemingly no challenge he wouldn't tackle, who remembers that horrible crash he had on the Cresta Run?

No footage of that particular incident available sadly, but a nice clip from his heyday with another great British hero, David Purley:

For most people my age he was a household name.R.I.P.
Sadly a lot of his generation have passed away.

He was a staple of my youth, he was, in a great way, very 'Yorkshire' sad to see him gone!

All of the names slowing going from my youth, so sad, but we al get old I suppose.
"Get down Shep" will always remain though and mean so much to us and nothing to the younger generation
