Colour of block *obviously* relates directly to how much power it will make - black sounds standard road thing to me, dog thing brown is such a dreadful colour it cant be much better, red so definitely makes most power (but yes does look rubbish after a couple of races worth of dust & dirt!) As thats whats in mine

Remember though - for each sticker on your door mounted shopping list, thou shalt gain another 5 bhp - and if these stickers are of Japanese decent this figure shall magically apply at the wheels! So even a black block can produce good figures with a long enough shopping list!
