what a great weekend, sun was out, cars were out and a few boobs too
A new track record was taken, 34.6 ! wtf thats quick !!!! Goldie went perfect (as usual !!!) the new springs were ok, still a bit soft and not a great deal different from the standard Annyhoo, really good runs up the hill, scared the shite out of my self on Sat practice run, nearly lost it and got a bit close to the barrier at the esses, camera wasn't on tho. Today was good too got very close to my PB, could have got a lot quicker but my head just wasn't up to it, felt like crap with bad hay fever all weekend and got no sleep as we were camping next to a bunch of Oasis wana be drunken 20 somethings, , o feck I feel old now ! After last weeks session on the rolling road and discovering the power starts to fall off after 5tho rpm I tried to short shift and use 4th gear for some of the sections but that didn't really work as I was wasting time changing up,or down, still, worth a try. Also ran with the center diff lock engaged all day today, which is a first as I only use it for racing in the wet, but even tho it was dry and very, very grippy she felt more stable in the corners and i could brake harder, all quite obvious you say but who uses the diff locks in the dry on tarmack surface with lots of sticky rubber on ? Issimo ? Ears a wee vid of a practice run this morning, the only one I got as the battery's died https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnUv...ature=youtu.be |

Have you already got a RARB on your coupe? Might help with the tight corners. And you say new springs but what shocks do you use?

bilstein gas shokers, no rear arb tho, good point ! I must look into that
on continental road tyres too. Happy with hows she handles as you can recover without too much drama, which is nice, also good in the wet. Next on the list has to be a re-done cam shaft, if you watch my other vids, I spend a lot of time at 5.5-6tho rpm in 3rd so if she could rev to 6 0r 7tho and make power at that speed I can forget about 4th |

brilliant, eddy - that bit at the chicane (1:49 mins) was like me dodging the day trippers in largs at the weekend!
it never ceases to amaze me how many motorists out there do not see a 4 ton van with blue flashing lights and shrill sirens until you're right on them!!!
