Default Urgent needed

I was driving my urq tonight the day before we sell our main car and the alternator belt goes and snaps on me. Does anyone have one or know where I can source one asap as I need my car for an interview on Tuesday. Talk about bad bloody timing.

I looked on gsf but no luck. Is there a name for it other than alternator belt?

How hard are they to fit once I've sourced one? What needs to come off!!?

Thanks

Dave

Use a tapemesure (spelling?) to find the length. Your local autoshop should have something you can use until you can get the proper one.

Look for v-belt, drive belt, fan belt ( I know, but it was listed as one by holfrauds or someone)

Measure it as Soren states , I had a gaff with one of mine once as the correct one listed on the likes of gsf would not fit , not a mega hard job just awkward

I have to find it yet, that is the only problem. If I find it, them, I shall let you know.

I have several, somewhere, because between Audi and halfords, there was some serious ambiguity when i bought mine. I was shredding belts like crazy- turned out someone had smacked the harmonic damper doing a Cambelt change. Deformed it badly.

Found one. Definitely the 850mm, which should be WR.

Looking for the next one...
