Question Urq fuel tank

Its it possible to flush these thoroughly?
Anyone successfully had this done?

What is this lining i've heard of?

i've heard of it, not seen it though. a kind of anti-rust coating type thing wasn't it?

redneck method - tank out/tie to a cement mixer/fill with gravel and maybe some water?/seal tank filler cap/switch it on/leave it for 12 hours.

then do the same thing but this time fill it with tank paint and gravel.. (get the gravel out before the paint starts to set)

i'd give it a try! others wouldn't... but then again, i've got a cement mixer.

An interesting solution. Not sure the petrol won't affect the paint though.
Anyone else got an opinion on this subject...?

There are several kits available, very good if done properly, a disaster if not.

Is it leaking or do is there loads of sediment you want to get rid of?

Its not leaking. Its partially blocked i think. Phil Payne said it should p1$$ out. Almost like a garden hose. All i get is a dribble by comparison. And with the filler cap off too!

is says 'tank paint' not wilko's finest magnolia..

Anyone on here had a fuel tank renovated? Anyone care to recommend a firm that does this?
