GT Coupe 86 2.2 5 cylinder refurb

Hi all !

Aiming to get my GT back on the road as the head gasket went about 6 years ago. Cannot get one bolt off to remove the head (attached to the downpipe allegedly?? that pain in the A**e on at the back of the engine)
There used to be a great parts place close to me (Partco) that I used to but stuff from but they got taken over.

The bolt needs heating and a shock socket ?? to remove but failing that was told I could cut the pipe. HOWEVER, can't seem to find anywhere that sells this part.

Any of you great chaps (and ladies) point me in the right direction for getting mechanical stuff for this year and make of car? Need all sort of things !!

Hi Hattie,

I'm no expert on these things, but you can put your reg number / car make etc. into this site and it'll tell you if they've got what you're looking for. They stock reasonably priced Bosal parts too so might be worth taking a look. Hope this helps!
