S2/RS2 avant front wheel bearings

Afternoon all

I need to get two front bearing kits for a 1994 RS2 within a couple of days. I’ve seen comments re FAG bearings from GSF but they are only now seemingly supplying Schaefller kits.

Does anyone have experience of these as I only want to fit decent ones? Thanks in advance.

FAG are part of the Schaeffler group.

The other alternative is SKF

ECP apparently do them although the price is a bit on the hefty side

I got a FAG RS2 bearing from a local factors up here, they're part of the "Parts Alliance" group?......worth a google search maybe?

Got FAG 713 6100 50 bearing set from Eurocarparts for the front of the RS2. Much ‘persuasion’ during the extraction process but the new one is smooth as silk and the car is back to rude health.

Just need to persuade the headlining to re-glue now...
