Default Hi !

Hi, just thought I'd say hallo as a new joiner

I've got a 1975 C1 Audi 100 GL special edition and a 1974 100 Ls Crayford Cabrio currently being restored. Pleased to find a site dedicated to the older model, a bit like myself!!

Welcome there fella!
That Crayford Cabrio wasn't one that was for sale about 2 years ago was it???
Think you better get posting some pics up as well!

Nice to have another early 100 owner on board!

Think I've had it a while longer than 2 years, mine's a yellow auto that's currently abroad having the body tub restored. I'll get a photobucket account and try to load some pictures up. I brought a very very rusty example a couple of years ago off e-bay and that is now with a mate in Germany.

Was yours the red one on e-bay recently?, looked a nice car, it's funny how these turn up with low milages, could be something to do with the complete lack of spares beond the normal sevice items. My GL is has only done something like 55k, marathon blue

I was gonna pop a bid on it and get it in my collection but it's probably of more interest to you.

Thanks that's my car! think only 2 auto's were made and circa 16 cars in all, plus interestingly 2 estates. I've got a load of bumph at home I'll dig it out and scan it in when I get time. There was a late crayford for sale a couple of years ago that also ended up in Germany that I looked at. It was a late 75 the last made. Think they are worth much more over there.
These early 100's are great cars, they are never going to win any races but are nice old things to drive around in. The only problem being keeping the things on the road due to lack of spares. I've got some contacts in Germany that can help out if you get stuck but bits are hard to get over there also.
