You got the idea. I've heard that people use 0,5l cola bottles for measurement - allowed difference is 10% between all injectors.

Old school mechanics from Audi, VW, Ferrari, Mercedes, Volvo and DeLorean have worked with K-Jetronic. The only difference is the number of injectors.
http://www.ferrari400parts.com/kjetdownload.php For some reason the files on the left download without filetype ... They are .pdf files, just rename them. Ferrari400 do rebuild of 5-cyl metering heads... 300 Euro (= 265 GBP) Last edited by SorenR; 15-06-18 at 09:15 PM. |

Good find SorenR!
Thanks for that The injectors have already been flow tested seperately, I suspect there’s a reduction in pressure at low ROM which is causing it to feel rough (it feels like it’s hunting). I’ll report back after swapping Colin’s unit in Last edited by Duffy3074; 15-06-18 at 10:10 PM. |

I've gone and bought a pressure gauge and some adapters to allow me to do a basic diagnosis on what's going on.
It's quite obviously not right and I want to confirm the fault before I try and sort it out, I'm going to put it off the road until I get to the bottom of it, concerned about borewash on my new engine as it smells rich and the exhaust/plugs are black, however if you weaken it it starts to hunt and runs even rougher. Having the Coupe as a benchmark has been well worthwhile |

Eddy from Glasgow who had the hill climbing road going B2 CQ had tweeked his injection system, car was a 2.2 with k-jet and went extremely well. He seemed to know his way around K-jet......maybe worth while trying to make contact?

I've rebuilt enough carbs and built a Megasquirt from scratch that I hope I can have a stab at this one. For some reason I've had a reluctance to tackle it (viewing it as some sort of black magic) dunno why, I'll bear his name in mind for when it all goes a bit Pete Tong |

Main part of dealing with Kjet is absolute cleanliness, it only takes a tiny amount of dirt to bung it up and prevent it working as it should.
Hope it all goes swimmingly for you! |

Hi, just back from holiday, I have a fuel pressure tester, I can drop it off when I drop off the metering head if you like, I have opened a metering head, a very long time ago, before 1998, a gent from Yorkshire was up working in Tillicoultry area with his Ur quattro and it had a miss, the local garage sent him up to me to see if I had a spare metering head, after splitting the metering head we found one of the rubber O rings within the metering had split and then wedged itself into one of the outlet pipes, sounds like an easy fix until we tried to reseal the two half of the metering head, after 3 or 4 attempts sealing it dry we deiced to use blue hylomar and that worked, he drove the car back down to Yorkshire the next day and all was well, 2 or 3 weeks later a large parcel arrived with a thank you note and a photo copy of the VAG Audi quattro workshop manual that I still use today.
