Suspension advice! Which shocks?
As some of you know, I’m doing a bit of a restoration on my B4 2.6 avant and to the distaste of some of the people here, I imagine, I have bought some lowering springs (60mm ). While taking my struts off I’ve realised I need to bite the bullet and invest in 4 new shock absorbers as 3 out of the 4 look like they have seen better days. So here is my question. Any advice on which ones to buy? Are shortened ones really necessary? I’d like to have it so that if I need to for any reason I can put the original springs on.

My mate has a B4 saloon and he had his this low a few years ago and didn’t use shortened shockers. I |
