Well - I am pleased to report that my Toyo's arrived yesterday from Demon Tweeks. They look so small against my 20" A6 wheels!

Just wondered if you bought the Toyo's and how they were? Ordered the same as alternatives were expensive Pirelli's or Nankang's which everyone says not to touch.

Resurrecting an old thread, I now have everything ready for an underside rebuild on my ur, the last thing will be new tyres, I can’t get a sensible answer about the compounds on the longstone Pirelli’s and I’m very sure, much like the current set they will life out before they ever wear out.

Vredestein Sprint Plus
215/50 R15 88W These are another option designed for the quattro as well as another old timer and a little cheaper Originals were 215/50 R 15 88 V Above are W and same loading Pirelli are a ZR which is way over spec so for either insurance on an 88W shouldn't have an issue I purchased a set of remake 16"'s Ronal copies recently offered as a short batch run so I can have a better choice if I go that way with original look. 215/45/16's give a good top brand option for £100-£115/corner - P7's -Sport 3s etc |

Were the 16 inch remakes the ones that had some problems first time out ? Did they get resolved or is this another make ?

The only issue was the profile for the bolt. They have supplied new bolts with captive insert to suit so bolts are not interchangeable so I would keep like with like if I use them. Currently in boxes as an option.
Always remember fords using an inch larger rim for the bigger engine of the same car and always looked better. Wondered if the same with the ur |

They didn’t supply my bolts, and gave me a lot of flannel about can’t reimburse if tyres have been fitted, blah blah. Totally in defiance of trading standards.
It’s a sequence of lies that they peddle. It’s criminal what that shower of shite get up to. They’re still in boxes waiting for collection and disposal.
