Default 4 x 108 to 5x 112

I've got the 80 b4 and was just curious as to when and what models started getting the 5 stud, and was it 5x112 straight off or was it 5x100 first? I know the a3/s3 8l was 5 x100.

Just curious really!

Just the S2 and RS2 had the 5 studs I believe, yet the same setup is on even the basic early A4 B5s

On the B4 only the S2 got the 5 x 112 pcd hubs and if your looking to do the conversion on your car you'll need for the front......... S2 carriers or V6 2.6/2.8 plus S2 5 x112 hubs. You could get the rear 5 x 112 pcd for your car of a B5 fwd car.

There are other options for the front like bits of C4 A6 5 stud but that gets a little bit more complicated.

5x100 was VW thing, one more bolt added to the 4x100 setup to have more bolts to handle torque of VR6, and then it was adapted for mk4, and that's what's "Audi A3".
