I suspect mine is an 81 build but sadly she isn't mot'd at the mo

unlikely as turn around time from date of manufacturer to DOFR was only around 10-14 days on a lot of cars back then.

I did have some knowledge of these once....

2144cc KE, GT5E Type 81 Audi Coupe GT bootlid badged as Audi - fuel injection, 5E on the front grille, flat lamps and grille, small front rings, sunroof, econometer on dash, lower ratio box, foglamps (unlike later 1994cc GT)....

Anything else...?

saw the cord from left of picture, I suspect its an employee sale or part ex. pics are from 9 2009, and not on a forecourt

assume corrosion and respray would be easy to spot on met brown like this. What should be walked away from?

What about odd things like, wheels bearings, clutch bearings & slave cylinders, trim thats hard to find or gauges that fail, bushes that go and cant be sourced easily. That sort of thing

I think its described on the log book as just audi coupe gt5 no S or E i'll check tomorrow
I'll try again for a bigger picture (please excuse the rust! my camera has been quite friendly towards her)
