just found out there is a Pressure Accumulator for petrol has any one had trouble with these thing before

They can go faulty Arthur, what is happening ?

ruud is perhaps a good man to ask about getting a new one, he is very helpful.

the car keeps cutting out and as if its running out of petrol had to have it recovered yesterday as it wouldn't start at all so its just sat here till a new fuel pump arrives because when you turn ignition on get no buzzing from pump

It won't be the accumulator.

It's only used on old fuel injection systems (CIS) and is for stabilising the fuel pressure delivery

Did you ever check the filter in the fuel tank Arthur ? If not do so, there could be a load of anything stuck to and in it.

might be the fuel pump relay
it will be old now to

You can bypass the relay using a wire in two of the connections
Just to make it work incase it's not the fuel pump

not to worry got fuel pump and relay is on its way I ordered the two to gatherer just in case it was both I will have spares of one or the other lol
