Default Original E2 drawings

Unfortunately I had to attend the funeral of my wife's uncle today. Funerals give you the opportunity to catch up with distant relatives who you may not see for years on end.
One such relative was one of my wife's cousins, who lives and works with his family in Germany. He's a bit of a petrol head and a really nice chap. In the 80's he had one of the original M3's amongst other interesting cars, this was while he was working for Audi as a draughtsman. In conversation today, we where talking about the S1 E2 and the 1987 pikes peak car. Oh, he said, I've got a folder full of the original sketches for that car and another folder full of detail drawings of it, such as the water spray onto the radiator in the boot and the water system for the brakes. It turns out that Phil worked closely on the project and made hundreds of drawings, so the fitters could see exactly how things went together and how things were made.
So, next time he's over here he promised to bring everything over, so we could have a get together and a sift through. result
Watch this space, although it might be in 6 months. Might be worth a trip to see him.

never mind the garage, the lounge needs a revamp.
But seriously, i've seen bits of Phil's work before and the ink originals will be fantastic, i'm going to get on the case, too good an opportunity to miss.
