pierburg to weber
I am going to change the old pierburg to a weber carb iminantly and need to order it
but having looked in the catologues, I see that their is both manual and auto choke versions available, given that the carb is an auto one already should I replace it with an auto one,or is that maybe part of the problem with the pierburgs, if anyone can enlighten me with some pearls of wisdom,I would very much appreciate it,thanks

mine was replaced with a manual choke version. I understand from the previous owner that the Pierberg suffers from icing and autochoke issues. However i don't have any direct experinence except to say the Weber manual is a nice piece of kit, fairly easy to maintain and for me the simpler the better.

have took the plunge and purchased a replacement manual weber , and has made a vast difference
i think it needs a little bit of fine tuning on the set-up but other than that its made the world of difference
