My idea is good as you mentally have two different cars. They aren't vying for your attention and money.

I'm on Paternity leave, Coxy has his own business, Tarka, are your company paying you to surf t'internet?

Well boys, it didn't take much to decide to keep em both. I'm easily led you see!

The 16V idea is a good one and I can use the Audi 2.0 16V from the Type89. That bolts straight in to existing mounts. Can pick them up for around £200. Sadly, the Typ 82 shell will not easily accomodate a 5 warbler.

My company are paying me yes, but my objectives are pretty vague so I reckon i could fit this kind of "research" to a couple of them!!

Pimp, I will definately come and pick those trims up - sorry for being so slack. I'll drive in early next week and mail you beforehand. Cheers.

but get the Mk2 Golf 16V head - it apparently flows better. see www.clubgti.co.uk/forum for 2.0 16V FAQ.
