Default Price guide please?

I know of an auto coupe, 1986, 90,000 miles been standing 9 years.
Rusty underneath, needs a fair bit of paint. Running engine.
Any guide on price please? As in, if I buy it and want to run it as a daily driver_not perfect but valid MOT_ what should I pay for the car?
It is complete-or 99% anyway...
Thanks!

£250-500 is what I'd be thinking if you really want it?

Might depend on the seller too as it'll be worth a lot more in bits I would think but if you're looking to resurrect/recommission then IF it's the seller who's owned it from when it was last on the road then he/she might rather sell it for a lesser amount to someone who'll give it some loving?!

The problem is, there’s been some rough’ un’s go in the bay of fleas for strong money recently.

I don’t know which engine. Probably not the 2.2l injection like that white one with leather interior.
They have said £2k, which I think is way over. From mots 10 years ago the underside was poor, so won’t have improved.
Stripping would be more financially rewarding, but that wouldn’t be my plan.
Getting it up to scratch might be £2-3k, so looks like not worth the effort.

Thanks

Unless you are doing it yourself, £2-3k might just about cover the welding alone!

There's an auto on eBay at the moment. A non runner as well - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-GT-C....c100171.m2965

10 bids and over £3k. Personally for a car that needs to be towed away I wouldn't want to pay more than half that cost.

Welcome to the B2 scene tax. It's a 35 year old parts donor by the description. If it's been sat 9 years, this is not a weekend project to get it on the road.

You'd be far better with a B3/B4 80 if it's for daily driver use. They're much better value.

Take £1,500 in cash and go and make an offer. With the running engine, it's all worth it. You will not get these cars often anymore and that is one of the most beautiful cars! Being 2.2 auto is a perfect everyday car to enjoy, can't wish for more! Go and get it!
If not, let me know where to find it!
