it doesn't need to be that tight..... Thats overtightening imo.
A neighbour has a white CQ and has had it from new. He has done 155k in it and changed the cambelt twice so far himself, made his own locking tool and only retightens the bolt to 250nm. Never had any problems

I've got to admit I'm a little confused - whats the conclusion then?
Audi say its 280 nm which my mechanic has regurgitated to me. Do I need to be loooking for a different tool? I may have to go for a nose though the Haynes Manual I just acquired.... |

its 450 nm on the UR turbo and 350 nm on the coupe non turbo.I am surprised that the 10v turbo is that tight as it couldn't pull its self out off bed LMFAO
