Still off the road mate

Tried everything on the bleeding front but it made no difference. Ive bought a new accumulator that i haven't fitted yet, see if that works.
If that doesn't work i guess I'll have to buy either a new ABS pump or hydraulic servo.

Absolute bloody nightmare

Hey guys, wonder if you can answer a few questions for me please.

Toady I swapped out the brake accumulator which I thought was a simple job. Couple of things that bothered me.

When I unscrewed the banjo bolt I lost all the power steering fluid, which is fine as I wanted to replace it. But when I undid the union, NOTHING came out of it, nothing.
Should there be some fluid coming out???

Anyway, I have now put everything back to how it should be, topped up the power steering fluid and bled the steering. I also bled the brakes in the correct order with an Easybleed kit, but when I finished the reservoir was over flowing and I had to syphon some out???
That doesnt seem right to me.

So now instead of the pedal going to the floor, the pedal goes down about an inch possibly two and is very spongy.

Should I of had the brake pedal pressed down when bleeding?

Or could something be wrong.

Everything else apart from ABS unit and hydraulic pump is new.

Thanks

How much fluid did you bleed through on each caliper

Did you also bleed the master cylinder

Its not really how much did I run through, its more a case of its very hard to get any pressure through it to get it to come out more than a trickle.

Think I need to get a proper pressure bleeder on this

Absolutely unnecessary for a braking system to be so difficult

Saladdodger........... I just done all brakes on CQ ! New Calipers on rear and calipers off for refurb and paint on front ! Bled rears no problem....... even tho theres a brake pressure regulator thing to faf with !!! (i didnt know)
Fronts...... different story !!! Bubbles bubbles bubbles !!!! Still not right now ! Bought a Pneumatic bleeder but my old compressor not got enough UMPH to do it properly i think !

So car in for MOT on 12th so...... on way to MOT i'll call in at work and use our air there !!!

My sympathy goes out to you !!! VERY frustarting !
