Haven't needed any for a while as I have a stock of them. I'll try my local dealer(Crewe Audi)next week and see what they come up with.
Surprised they've been available for as long as they have. |

There are plenty of filters who refer to oem number. 035115561 and 035115591 (additional oil filter) |

I've got them in a different make, just surprised I was told they are nla. Makes me wonder about Audi tradition, what ever they had reproduced is shite, so is it just a way to get rid of their old stock, under the pretence of helping out the classic Audi customer ?

Forget the dealer. I get mine from Eurocarparts, based on part numbers that a fella I know gave to me.
Mann filters.

I may be my neck out here but, the original oil filters for the WR engined quattro are Mahle filters the correct filters are OC47 in black and the smaller OC78 in silver, the original filters supplied by Audi came in black and silver with the wording of "Audi Turbo" on the black filter and both the black and silver filter had the Mahle logo on them, at my local motor factors they cost about £12-15 for both, remember clean oil is the life blood of your engine.

IIRC this strange configuration was used on early 2.1 turbo engines - KG, WR, KW, a couple of more - basically extinct engines, so no surprise that audi doesn't want to put some on shelves, as they would only collect dust. In your situation I would look how to bin it for more convenient single filter solution - maybe all you need is just filter bracket from some MC engine. |
