As I recall the switch is accessible just from the engine bay on the side of the box , as others have suggested probably best to go underside and have a butchers.

!!!!!!!!??????!!!!!!!!!! thanks for that Tony! I'll definately pop over to see you with the car when she's got an mot. .........not sure I'm up for any probing tho!!!! I've had a quick look on Google regarding reversing lights and mot ....bit of a grey area.....Ill get them to have a look at the switch when she's up on the ramp, my days of rolling around under cars with you or anyone else are over!!!

cheers, will do, Its the type 81 box behind the glove box, nothing under the bonnet, think that was the later type, if problems persist I may have to replace with a later type 85 box, I think bryflyingby did this, I'll have to have a word with him although he probably used something from a space ship (or maybe a passat)

Hi Dave, just want to wish you good luck this week with the MOT. I,m sure she will pass, but even if she don,t just remember you,re a lot closer than mine
Anyway I have an Idea about the reversing lights tell the MOT place you only go forwards

Reversing lights are NOT part of an MOT davow, so don't worry about it
