Default Pearl white URQ - WR dialynx modified.
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : WR Quattro
Price : £8500
Location : Southampton
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook) ,MOT'd

After seemingly forever staring at the car getting slowly rebuilt I've decided to test the waters as to whether anyone on here would be interested in my UR?

First of all - I'm not expecting to get £8.5k, I put that in as it asked for a figure so I gave it!

Most of you will know the problems I've had with this car and hopefully you'll also know that I've spent many pennies and some amazing help from particular individuals on here getting all the problems properly fixed. I've got to the point where I don't want the burden of three cars and realise that I'm not getting enough fun out of the car to justify the hairloss stress that goes with it. I realise that I'm so close to having it completely sorted (just appearance left) but my energy and drive is at an all time low.

Before going into too much more detail I want to say that the turbo is still being rebuilt and once back on the car I'll get it MOT'd and get proper photo's up.

For now I just want to gauge peoples interest in the car given the following:

Features
One of the last WR's - late 1987 model
Pearl white
Grey leather interior
green digi dash - pete knight rebuilt

Modifications
Sport quatto bonnet
Dialynx manifolds
Hybrid turbo
Dialynx worked ECU
280ish BHP

Pro's
Stainless exhaust - 300 miles ago
Brand new calipers, discs and pads - 2,500 miles ago
Powerflex bushes throughout
New shocks & springs all round
Full engine rebuild
Turbo rebuild
Fully waxoiled undernearth
Cambelt changed as part of rebuild
New crankshaft pulley as part of rebuild
Almost all other running gear has been replaced - check earlier threads to see!

Not so good bits
Whilst mechanically good there's the following:
Front wings have been rounded - unprofessionally - surface rust around inner arch at top
Spots of rust or rear arches (v small) and by sunroof (not going through) - A pillars and sills all solid
small hole in dash where aftermarket dials have been fitted
Interior all there but could do with coming out and being refitted again.
Rear firewall removed - but have replacement to be fitted.

Will be interested to hear peoples thoughts. Any genuine interest please PM me.

Many thanks

Dave

P.S. Yes I probably will cry like a baby when I see it driven away from me!

Replacement turbo housing freed from it's oppressive unit today. Studs will be extracted tomorrow. Turbo rebuilt on Saturday then I need to get the car down to my newfound mechanic (as the VW mastertech guy as foxtrot oscar'd for good this time - luckily before I paid him!!) to bolt the turbo back on and the airbox, then bumper back on and MOT!

P.s. - Pearl whites the best colour

See I was told it's Bentley Ghost White instead of pearl but I've never been able to find proof of it, save for people saying it doesn't quite look pearl!
