Any opinions on Spax kits?

Thinking of slightly lowering and firming up the suspension on my cq. Has anyone used the Spax VSX kit?

Demon Tweeks also list Gmax springs but I think I'd rather go with a full kit. Alas the budget won't stretch to coilovers..

Any thoughts on fast road/track suspension? Is 40mm too low?

Heelo Jake,

I have fitted the SPAX VSX 40mm kit to my b2 90 Quattro. There wasn't many options available for a b2 Quattro so I was glad this kit was available.

So far, im very happy with it. ITs not too low, the car sits just right I my opinion. As for ride and comfort, again not too harsh, not harsh at all really. Nice and firm.

I have a mk1 golf lowered on coilovers and its harsh, bumpy and that's not what I wanted with my audi.

Ill update my build thread with pictures of how it sits later.

My car is running 15 inch Quattro alloys and is fully polybushed.

Cheers Willow, the pics would really be useful. As you say, there's little available without spending mega bucks so I'm glad you made that comment.
