Default **help help** rear axle/hub

ive have had the pleasure of spinning my 1985 1.6TD 80 on diesel around an island resulting in f**ked alloys (oh yes the orange wheels are dead) problem is until i get it into the garage for a definate check im pretty sure ive bent the rear passenger side hub, possibly the mount for the hub ie the axel end. absolutely gutted doesnt sum it up. im wondering if anyone has an 80 lying around theyve started to break up? this is just incase in need a hub and at worst an axel, thanks for your time

I whacked my 88 Coupe GT into the curb years ago in the snow fully square on. From behind one wheel was deffo further in than the other. Look underneath you may find the Torsion bar is bent upwards. Thats what happened to mine, simply take it off, straighten it out and weld a piece of decent bar under it ( it's hidden ) and should be ok. Other than that get a decent second hand one.

cheers, ive had the wheel off, hub seems to be pointing 'toe in' also the back of the drum where the brake line attatches, looks like the brake line has come slightly away from the drum, also a noise when driving, p*ssed off but at least it i missed the directional signs on the round-about. seems ive located a possible 2 axels and hubs, thanks for peoples pm's, cars in the garage thursday so will get a 2nd opinion then, maybe it can me straighted with a little love from mr big hammer??!!
