I can never forget the sound of the Escorts flying through Sutton Park where I live. The most amazing sound was when me and my mate..we where about 14 yrs old and we heard a hell of a grinding noise, and this Escort came flying round the corner on its way to Four Oaks gate..so he was about a mile from the finish. Flat out rear tyre shredded, slipping everywhere, sparks flying all over the road, fighting for traction and still going for it. Absolitely amazing but not a clue who was driving.

A few 6R4s used to get out on the club rallies a while ago driven by old men with lots of money but no balls or much of a clue of how to drive. It used to be a good laugh watching the boys in the Mk 11s on a limited budget piss all over them !!
My first view of a 6R4 was whilst running the service area at the Farmers Market at Dolgellau. We were treated to the sound of it driven by Tony Pond as course car for the Welsh rally, no idea what year that was though !!

very nice but I can't see why the previous owner converted it to RHD though.
