C3 Leaking Brake Booster
Folks,
After having the Brake Pressure Reservoir (Bom) replaced on my C3 last week, I noticed a tiny pool of hydraulic fluid on the floor. I felt oil around the pipework going into the BOM and tightened the relevant nuts etc. They were quite tight already. I now wait to see if that has done the trick, but I was wondering whether 2 new washers should have been used? I am sure my mechanic didn't use any new ones... Part 11 according to 7zap.com...….. https://7zap.com/en/catalog/cars/Aud...5085100::85010 |

If they're sealing washers, they should get replaced.
However some places anneal the old washers and re-use

Thanks Mike. They are described as Seal washers, so they are probably of the crush variety.
I doubt my mechanic knows what anneal means... |
