Well, that's the binacle back in the car, and happy to say I've now got a working odometer 😁

Strangely, when I first got the binacle back in the car, the rev Counter needle was bouncing rhythmically up and down, between 0rpm and around 2-3,000rpm, and then fell to 0rpm and stayed there for 5mins or so before bouncing back into normal activity! Any insight into why this happened? Seems to be fine now.

Also, as you will see, I've fitted a set of polished aluminium rings while I had the binacle to bits, and I'm really happy with the look. Certainly brightens up the look of the dash.

Nice to see that's sorted. If you had the battery disconnected, the revs sometimes take a while to settle.

Hope the car's behaving.

Yes, definitely. Always good to see progress, no matter how small.
Car is hardly being used at the moment Mike unfortunately. Probably less than 5 miles in the last 7 weeks or so due to the lockdown.

Currently working on a couple of small surface rust areas at the moment, where each front mud flap had been trapping moisture over the years. Helps to keep me busy and out of mischief!
