Mongrel URQ...
Hi guys
Can anyone shed any light on the history of my car? You may or may not know that I bought the pearl white URQ that was listed on here around May last year. It was a showcar standard car and had a feature in an Audi Magazine. Unfortunately a hammer first think second 19 year old bought it and stripped the interior, and basically butchered it. So I've spent since June 2010 trying to get her back into some sort of showroom condition (or at least presentable on the open roads!) Since sourcing parts I've be confronted with a few unusual aspects of the car, namely that even though it's a 1988 MB Quattro, it's got the green digi dash and more recently whilst trying to fit replacement bearings from Quattro Corner we discovered that even though it's an 88 the suspension lowers are pre 86 as the bearings that fit the car have the smaller diameter. The car reg is E611 HAP and as it used to be a fairly well known car I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on the history of this mismatch of Audi parts!! Cheers Dave

As for Engine No and VIN, that's a no no until I next see it at the garage. Not even copped eyes on it save for one brief glimpse since June!!! Questions only really come to mind as a result of all the delays in restoration due to unusual parts fitted!

Was owned by a guy called jonathan on the Quattro Forum before Andy bought it. I was always convinced it was a late registered WR with MB metering head cap fitted to give the appearance of an MB...
