Strongly disagree with that.

Firstly it’s a distance away from being cheap and they are OEM to most of the German manufacturers including Porsche

Well, I live in a country where average car is 13 years old [number which comes from counting together half of our capital, who drives new cars, and rest of country, who drives 20+ years old cars], which is being maintained by replacing failed part, not whole unit, and where getting expandable parts [seals, bearings, gaskets, suspension parts, brake parts etc] for popular 30 years old cars are not issue [unless no manufacturer makes them anymore], because they are either in store, or will arrive from warehouse in 1-2 days - and I cannot remember anyone who makes project or maintains his 20-25 year old daily to good standart, using Febi parts - well, maybe some such people does, with the story "yeah, I wanted something more decent, but I needed parts right now and store had just febi...".

What kind of parts does Febi make - I've forgotten - ?

I'm happy to use Febi parts, owned by (or part of?) Bilstein?

Last ball-joints I bought were Febi........and an oil pressure switch I think?
