Default Seats & belts in !

Really chuffed with the end results. Polo Gti runners taken apart and re welded to fit the audi, and now I have one fixed drivers seat for me and a rather nice Sparco recliner for my wife. Safety devices cage and belts fitted, wires tidied up )which took bloody ages), and fire extinguisher fitted. Just have to tidy up the exterior and put rear vents ect back on the car and then its time to play. Also got modified insurance for 3000 miles for only £290 quid, so well chuffed. Thanks for the photos and advice on seat fitting everyone.

Looking good

Are you planning on doing some form of motorsport in it?

Hillclimbing and sprints I hope. I can't see me doing well though due to the classes and modern cars, but it should be fun.

Not exactly fair having to run against the likes of Mitsubishi Evos etc. is it? But what the hell, just enjoy it

Looked to see what (if any) motorsport was available here in Cornwall. (No tracks.. closest is Castle Coombe ~ almost 4 hours away). Truro and District Motor Club popped up. They have a season of hillclimbs and sprints, and they share race days with a couple of other clubs in Devon, so hey presto Joined them. You need a basic (it's very basic) race licence from the MSA plus some racewear and a helmet, but other than that there are groups for bog standard cars, modified cars, single seaters etc. Quite a variety of specs actually. Methinks it'll be fun, and although to some 'winning is everything' I just fancy trying to improve my times.. but we shall see. It's a really cheap fun way into racing if you're nowhere near a race circuit.

The link to the TDMC is below just to give you an idea..

Either way, all of the interior mods I have done are reversible and I have the original stuff stashed away. Just got to hope I don't kill the car.
