Default Gauges

Hi. My Coolant temp gauge and fuel gauge have all been tempermental.
Now they seem to have given up compleatly.
Are they linked on a relay or fuse or could it be a case of taking them out and cleaning?
Car is a 97 Cabriolet.
Thanks.

That's often the voltage regulator.

It's a 3 leg device on the back of the cluster

Don't think that's correct

171 919 803 is the part number. Quick reading suggests it should be putting out 10v
