Hi, yes your correct, it does in fact have two sockets with two pins in each, one is black the other is white, I was thinking about a later OBD socket. I see you can get adapters for using a later OBD reader, will that read my car?

Any one know where the glow plug heater relay is?, thanks

2+2 adapter cable is what you need,to be fair it only gives limited info on an AAT 100 as they are an 8 bit ecu but could be enough to get you an idea of what is going wrong

Needs 2+2 adapter and VagCom. I think You'll need to do the adaptation for the immobilizer and all will be sorted.

The 2+2 cable can be used with any obd2 scanner not just vagcom/vcds btw

And as for factory ecu immobiliser,I've never personally come across a c4 100 with one.ive chipped a lot of c4 urs4s over the years and non of those have.

For it to run for 5 seconds is too long for an immo fault cutout anyway, usually they stop running after about a second or less

What year or reg is your car?

Exactly this^^^^^^^^ and as i mentioned earlier in this thread. My 2.8 C4 developed a immobiliser fault, it would fire but immediately cut out not run for 5 secs.

Im sorry I did not think the amount of time it ran was that critical, its runs for less time than 5 seconds, more like 2 to 3. The car is 93 year, thanks for your help!
