Remember these and even welded one up.
Used to like these a long time before i ever like Audis in general. After welding one up for the brother in law that was enough to put me off, circa late eighties.
Great shape these and of course the E30. It wasn't until the B4 80 that i thought Audi had finally cracked it to make a better looking luxury mid segment car.The rest is history as they say. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1982-BMW-3...8AAOSw6DtYR9a5 Last edited by vorsprung durch technik; 23-09-17 at 09:40 PM. That's stunning! I'd love an old BM, prefer the 5 series E28 though.
My Mum had a E21 320i two door back in the late eighties. Gold it was Dad had the E28s as company cars. I learnt to drive in his 525i, gold again Built like a tank, took a head on collision on the M6 to wreck it. Saved our bacon and he never look past them after that. Prices an all 80s BMWs have rocketed! |

Funny you should say you learn't to drive in the E28 525e,that must have been a great experience. I was only 21 ish when they were new and salivated for one, gathering all the Autocar and motor articles on it etc as you do. Would still like one. Now i've just talked myself into getting a garage holding at least 10 cars now...........
By comparison I learn't in a 1.3 MK 2 Escort. My instructor was a lovely bloke and used ro smoke his pipe next to me.Straight up! |
