Audi Driver International 2007

(shameless plug!)

This year, the emphasis of this Audi-only event at Castle Combe, Wilts is going to be more retro-biased (praaaaise the Lord!) with special displays and parade sessions for NSU, DKW, Auto Union and pre-86 Audis. I have been trying to campaign for early cars since its conception 5 years ago.

In the past I have attempted to get some interesting early cars on show but I did not really have any contacts or any direct avenues to attract people!

So, if you are free on Saturday 13th October and fancy displaying your car, do get in touch. it would be nice to get an 'official' Classic Audi lineup and perhaps some cool, early-model entries into the Concours. You can even venture out onto the track if you are brave! (Actually, there are a few regulars who drive Classic Audis, last year there were a couple of NSU TTs buzzing round the track! One dude was even getting the back end out and doing a bit of showboating - excellent fun to watch!)

I know many people are already affiliated with a club and will maybe park with them, but a retro lineup would be far cooler IMHO!!! LOL!

We've got this day down in our calendar!

My missus wants to take her RS2, but I'll be in the 100 and I'm gonna persuade her to take the 80CD 5S if it's ready and finished by then!!

Great news! Looking forward to seeing the 100 - I hope the missus agrees to the 80 too! It is still possible to take them on track if she wants. Just wont be as quick! There are a few parade sessions planned as well as the possibility of 'old-timer' track sessions. Not 100% on the that though yet.

Hopefully Grizz will bring along his 80 Estate. (Hint, hint, nudge, nudge!)

I am 90% sure i will be running the Concours this year too. I have done for every past event so no doubt this year will be the same. Bribes gratefully accepted... (LOL!)

200 miles nearer as in it's about 200 miles less to Castle Combe than it is to Telford!!

(ok, about 150 miles then!!)

and as for the other question, nope!! Mainly new Golfs, Polos and Passats!!

But a few of my mates went from here to Bad Camberg in 50 year old buses!!
