Finally found time to fit the lenses.....and injure myself in the process
Slipped while removing the broken glass and ripped open one of my fingers...... Why is it kids use all the plasters , then leave the empty packet and don't tell you that we're out....Bastids !! |

Excellent piece of research, they look perfect, good news indeed I might have to go and buy some for the stock shelf. Does anyone know whether the housings are the same as well? The screws that hold the lens to the housings are always rusted in or the head rusted away making them unmoveable without some form of vandalism

OK. numbers I have are as follows
These are for the Porsche 944 from 1982-1985.5 As I understand it if you buy the "full housings" you will need to chop off the Porsche plugs and replace with Audi connections. To be honest you really only need the lens and housing and reuse the Audi backplate . Full fog lamp housings (L/H Side) 944 631 201 01 (R/H Side) 944 631 202 01 Lens and housing (basically everything except the back plate ) (L/H) 944 631 901 00 (R/H) 944 631 902 00 And the Auto Atlanta Porsche Dealer exclusives polycarbonate lenses which I got are RPP916247 These are literally just the lens "glass" and you have to carefully (see above photo's for negligence results ) remove your cracked glass and bond the polycarbonate ones into the old housing. I used thermo-plastic caulking. Auto Atlanta ship worldwide Reeeeesult..... |
