Default S6 Frosted Seats!

Hi all,

The heated seats in The Helmet have simulataneously stopped heating
our posteriors! I have checked the fuses according to the manual, but
there isn't one related to the seats, according to Mother Audi.

Does anyone know differently?

Many thanks,

Craig

Sounds like a fuse or a relay upstream has gone for them to simultaneously go like that. Memory serves well you like quoting the Owners handbook refer oil specs ......anyway check in the back of that which fuse/relay serves the heated seats and pull out fuse, check it's condition, broken or not and clean contacts and or replace and put back.Dirty contacts between fuses/relays can cause these problems.Worth checking before going any further

S2s use a 30A fuse for the heated seats. I'd expect the S6 to use a similar circuit

I think there might be 2 thermal fuses behind the cover below the steering wheel. Are your seats electric?

Yes, they are Shaun. I will have a dig about and see if I can find them. Gawd knows why they aren't in the fuse boxes with all the others!

Thanks.

Okay, okay Mother Superior!! I'm stll using 5w/30 oil as recommended by the Audi Family, thank you and have just bought my next lot for the Helmet's impending service! Have you restored those fiendish flashy headlamps to OEM yet, or are you still blinding everyone in your path?!!

Thanks for the info, Old Chap - how's your own Helmet coming on?
