'200 Avant parts wanted

Hi there

Looking for parts for my 1989 200 quattro turbo Avant. It is manual with the 1B engine.

If anyone has some parts or can point me in the right direction I would be grateful. I don't want to spend the earth as frankly it's a bit of a knacker (but I love it, not sure why)

The bits I need are:

Clean rear bumper
Body to glass trim rear side window both sides (100 and 200 owners will know that the plastic part of these go wrinkly)
Original gear knob
Telescopic pole from end section of luggage compartment blind
Clear plastic reflector that sits next to headlight both sides
Stainless steel trim that sits on top of front and rear bumper

There is probably more.........

Hello to a fellow 200 owner, ksimmonds is breaking a 100 avant which is a face lift car and will shares some of the parts you want, ie, the rear bumper, load cover and window seals should be the same I 'm pretty sure.. Check in the parts for sale section.

As for your gear knob, I just had mine recovered by the local upholsters in some leather that came fom the backseat of an old volvo in a scrap yard.

Which part of the front bumper trim do you need?

I've just found the stainless trim for the front bumper, I've got all 3 bits, though they're not perfect (one is a little bent on one edge) and would need bonding to the bumper. Let me know if you're interested.

Hello mate, many thanks for the quick response! The centre stainless trim on the front bumper has been hacked about by someone with catteracts, using tin snips - for some reason best known to them. The outside sections are spot on; so would be interested in the centre part if it is in good condition. Great idea for the gear knob there is an upholsterer in town who could do that; shouldn't cost too much I guess. I had a look at the link for the side reflectors but it looks like i have missed the boat they show the part as "sold out" interesting site though - many thanks Andy

Hi, yeah, happy to aid a fellow 200 owner! Sorry, didn't notice they were sold out!

The centre section of my spare has a small kink at one end where it overlaps the outer, its otherwise fine. It would probably bend or hammer flat.

On the subject of the headlight thingys, there is a guy on ebay selling headlights, looks as though one has the thingy on it, not sure about the other. The auction is for one and has no bids yet. only £25, nice if you could get the pair for £50. Good to keep as spares!
