Default Audi 100 2.3E Auto
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : 100 2.3E
Price : £350
Location : Hayling Island Hampshire
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook),MOT'd

A sad day but this one needs to go. Still has at least 9 months MOT left on it. Tax has to go back to DVLA as it's on disabled taxation class.

Leaking power steering - The system still works, but the steering has become slightly heavier than it used to be. Air bubbles containing power steering fluid come out of the filler cap on the LHM reservoir. Car still driveable as is.

Default Data protection act removal request

DATA PROTECTION ACT REQUEST

Please remove the phone number and email address from my original for sale post in this thread, pursuant to the Data Protection Act and the GDPR.

I have previously sent messages to the admins here yet the data is still visible.

Quote:
The data controller has 21 days from receiving the data subject notice to provide a written notice stating he has complied or intends to comply, or stating his reasons for regarding the data subject notice as unjustified.

If a data controller (i.e. the person uploading information on to the website) fails to comply with the written request by the data subject to cease processing the data, the data subject could then apply to the Information Commissioner to intervene or to a court.

It’s only been 8 years after all......
Since you’re the person who uploaded it onto the website does that change things???

The time period is a key part of the rational behind GDPR. Timely control is an absolute.

Irrespective of how the information got onto the website a DPIA should have been completed by now as this is a straight forward infringement.

You can edit your own post to remove the data yourself.

It makes no odds and GDPR is very clear on this and it makes sense. The data controller has to control how all data is looked after.
This stems from the huge number of companies that ask for every bit of info they can when you buy some insignificant item then keep your info for years on end sending you emails once a year. But when quizzed as to why they do it they turnaround and say "you always had the option to remove your data, on page ## sub section ###. "
This removes that situation, forums are not the target of GDPR but do fall into the catchment as they hold data.
