I've spoke to the owner a couple of times and whilst she's out of tax and mot, it sounds like it wouldn't take too much to get a ticket on her. It's a very good price and would be nice to see it go to someone on here and then out back on the road.
I've offered to by the car as a spares car but I know it's better than that, which is why I got Ken to list it up here first hoping someone will be able to take it off his and get it back on the road.

Yes, GL of this vintage a good alternate to a Sport; esp. with PAS. Nice long legged gearing & Pierburg progressive choke works well when in good order. Got to thin the fleet out, incl. the same model of GL which I'm using as my runabout at the mo. Else I would have gone for it. Won't be posting mine up yet, as got to get the 90CD fixed before it goes!

Well I think in summary the GL was the 4 cyl 'flag-ship' model, elec. windows, although not all had PAS, but definitley more luxurious, even in pre-facelift guise. 80CD was a 5cyl, but similar spec, although I think PAS standard on those. After facelift the 5cyl CD became a 90. I think CL more basic (1600 engine?), some may have had a clock rather than rev ctr & man windows. I've got a CC, which is a bit odd as it seems to be base model, but does have rev counter/sun roof and decent clotch trim. Audi's of the '80's - trim/model/engine combinations: nightmare! Cheers. Glen.
