Default What is the PCD of an early Audi 100???

Am I right in thinking it's 4 x 4" or is it 4 x 4 1/4" ???

There's a set of 4, 4 x 4 1/4" Cosmics on eBay with have "I need to go on an early Audi 100" written all over them!!

Coxy, up to 1974 the cosmics you need are 5 1/2, 14" 4 by 140mm pcd. The cosmic part number is RW037/062. So they are not the right ones. These wheels are as rare as hens teeth as the only other car that has that pcd is an old Peugeot 504 (but wrong off-set, altough this can be overcome by hubcentric spacers). The later 1974 to 1976 100's had as above but 108mm pcd, again as rare as only shared with very early Alfa Romeo 1300 with ATE brakes!, part no RW093/095

I've just managed to obtain a set of the latter from someone in spain and put them on my 100GL, must admit they look the dogs, I'll post a picture when I get a mo. I will admit to having a set of the earlier ones that took 3 years to assemble buying them peacemeal from different sources in Germany. These will go on the Crayford if I ever get it back

What about getting adaptors made or the hubs redrilled?

Surely that has to be a cheaper option?

btw, I have a huge fetish for Cosmics!!

They do look good, I've got my set on my marathon blue 75, with the black vinyl roof. With your earlier car you havn't got the problem of the calipers which are really pronounced on the Audi so the offset is important as the wheels snag them. I would go with hub re drilling as the easiest option as there is not a lot of room under the rear arches once they are spaced. They are in my opinion the best looking period wheel by far ! but I would say that. I'd love to find a set of mk1 cosmics rather than the mk2 to add to the collection but I'm not sure they even produced them in the right size
I've only seen a couple of different wheels even in Germany, ATS did a set that fitted the post 74's, wolfrace slots and the early 924 alloys fit, but none look as good as the Cosmics
