Default Is your Hobby starting to take over ??

Evening People

I was going through my latest photo's to do a bit of an update on my build thread, when I realised how much this build is following me round the house - I'm trying my very best to get the car finished, so i thought if I spread the work around the house too, I couldnt fail to get a little bit done where ever I am

Case in point:

Obviously the Garage:

But now the Dining room is filling up and its where I'm rebuilding the Quadlamps

Ive now since moved the other set of Quadlamps up to my office so they can stripped and cleaned while I'm on the phone to the Boss or customers

I was wondering......hoping - is everyone the same as me on here, or is my hobby starting to take over a little bit????

You're not alone. I've currently filled a garage, 2 sheds, and am still managing to block the drive. Then there's bits of the stereo in the office and the hall ... And the headlights in the lounge ... and the suspension kit and another full set of lights in my bedroom.
...
This is normal, right?!

You could walk in to my house tomorrow and spend an hour looking round and you won't see a single reference at all for anything to do with cars!
(well, apart from the Octane mags on the toilet floor!)

Work however is a slightly different kettle of fish!!

Well, a part of the living room is under Audi parts waiting to be installed when the snow melts and weather gets warmer.

Also Audi parts inside a van that i currently have...

And of course the wife factor has occasionally made me make more room for moving around, furniture etc.

lol i know its a condition im well known for it on my street my neighbour had a skip and half filled it then offered the street to fill it with their rubbish, i was in that skip 4 times when one day he knocked on and asked if id seen anyone in his skip i said yes me, lol i made £40 on the stuff i removed and sold on ebay, there was block paving, edging stones, half log boarder rolls, childs bucket, a trolley, lol so now everone kow what im like and knock on either to ask if i want something before they skip it, ive had swings, a slide, half a ton of sand, cement, chicken pellets for the garden etc etc also if people need anything they knock on lol just last week someone wanted a length dowel rod, and someone borrowed my bow saw.

over the back the garden was overgrown and my neighbour got permission to go over and cut it back as it was over hanging his garden, while helping i found a mint dolly tub, the house owner said take it its no good to me lol on the bay of thieves it went and i was £30 up. i hate going to the tip as i stand there in disbelief as people throw complete and working bikes or golf bags etc i could never work at the tip as id be bring alsorts home, thats why i ask about the scrapyard as i love rummaging and unscrewing bits, makes me feel content, there was an A reg mk3 escort down there, i spent 2 hours yesterday removing a rotten sunroof and door panels just so i knew what was behind mine and how they take a part so i dont damage mine when i do any work on it, thats when i have a walk around, yea plent of ford ka's and usual daily crap but then theres a 1990 jag, mk1 mr2, scimitar, the audi 80, a mk2 polo breadvan, people have said before i have a gift of making cash from junk. like the victorian sideboard in the garage cost me a tenner from a house clearance, looking on ebay no lie one exactly the same £400 so thats sat ready for stripping and waxing, just with work, jobs around the house and 2 kids these 'projects' get stored along with other stuff i stumble across. sometime i do have a blitz and list 40 things on ebay and straight up always end up with a grand in my pocket, when the wife moans about the rubbish in the garage i say looks theres easy over a grand in there and start pulling things out and im like thats worth 50 notes, id get 40 quid for this, ive seen these sell for £20 etc etc
