Default exhaust manifold 100 turbo MC2 engine. (MB'ish??)

hello,

i better get one, to make the transplant as painless as possible.

what do you have? good one? cracked one? welded one? let me know.

at least if i have two then i can run a crack/blow/weld/replace cycle every two or three years.. one can be being welded while the other is cracking..

i don't know if an ur'ish one will fit, maybe an MB one? the part numbers differ by one letter at the end so... any advice on that would be good.

post up any ideas, prices, condition if you have one and i'll see if i've got enough money to buy it..

thanks

Does it pass the WD-40 test?

The MC-2 shipped with the MB manifold. After some cracking problems - almost all on MBs - Audi replaced it with a 'two-part' manifold - actually a nine-part. The two-part solves the #4 port cracking problem, but not the turbo mount cracking problem.

I've got a two-part in the workshop - I'll have to ask Mark if he has any other plans for it.

Hold it with the mounting flange flat and uppermost. Spray WD-40 into the ports. If there's a crack it will weep out.
