Not much of a surprise really... have you ever seen tapes being pumped out? Quantity, not quality was the name of the game.

I think the best tape deck I have ever used (and owned) would have to be my little Tascam Portastudio 4-track. Absolutely no bells and whistles, just the best compact cassette recorder/player ever

Pre-recorded tapes were not that great at all, lots of his and quite muffled, but it was the difference that the dragon could do which was quite amazing at the time.

Even later on when being able to record off CD onto tape with decent equipement the Naka was always better to record with even with low grade tapes.

I have also used the Tascam porta studio, a lot of my bands demos were recorded on one of those....

Wish I had the spare money I would have a dragon, its on my wish list.. one day....

I can't afford that much with early HiFi, but I love the early SMEs, this one is paired to a Garrard 301.

Spot on Martc....(much to my shame).

And Audi 200 5T rear bumber with terrible grazing will be winging its way to you. Something all ther family can enjoy and treasure for years to come.
