Default ignition removal?

hi all ,,tryin to remove the ignition from my b2 90 ,i've removed the s/wheel ,,all stalks and i undone the allen head bolt which clamps it but it wont slide off,,,,dont want to break it,,,any ideas please???

Most Audi columns are also secured by a shear bolt (411 417 549 or similar) that needs to be drilled out with a 10mm drill.

Have tried using wd40? mine came off straight away, you sure your not over missed any other fixing bolts?

have you taken off the 2 shear bolts ? if not you will have to drill as phil sed
if you have put the key in to remove the steering lock

you only have to drill if the bolts did not come out .it should now come off
have you put the key in and turned to pos 1 ?

As Micky said, if they're out there's no drilling required. Make sure the key is in the 'Accessory' position and the steering lock is released.
