Here's a picture on mine from back in the early 1990s along with other cars that graced my driveway back in those days. The Sport was a facelift model and I think a C reg but my memory is a bit vague that far back.

The colour certainly looked black at times and then very close up a darkish brown.

Wish i still had a few of those cars now...the 90 CD at the top picture was one very wealthy owner and the car had only ever been driven by his Chauffeur!

My dad had a D Plate 100 CD in Graphite. It definitely looked brownish in certain lights. Hence it's nickname, 'The Glittering Turd'. Was a great car, otherwise.

OK so on the back of this what do you guys reckon is a realistic price for mine ?
Does history/documents count for much?
I bought it in Feb 1985, B reg, Zermatt (silver) sunroof, power steering ,114k, Eibeck springs ( approx. 25mms lower)new paint about 6 years ago along both sides.
256 mms front discs instead of factory 239 using Golf 16v discs and B3 calipers.

Waxoyled a lot in its early days.
Driven probably three/four days out of seven until March 1993 and then again between April 1998 and December 1999.Used much more occasionally since then.
Currently taxed and MOTd ( never been sorn ed).
Should probably have cam belt done again - due to time.
It's not perfect but is still quite nice.

Rolling road showed about 120 bhp - it had some 'minor' valve unshrouding when the guides were done at about 75k, Brian Ricketts said whilst we were doing the guides it was silly not to......
